Tuesdays & Thursdays April 3-June 1st 6-7:30pm

The program will include 2x Weekly Practices with the opportunity for 3-4 events.  Teams will be formed for U12, U14, U16, and U19 age groups. No tryouts for this site.

Ethel Walker Field Hockey Clinic

June 19-23 5-8pm

For players entering 4th-9th grades. Join us as we learn and build on the game of field hockey. Over the course of the five-day session, participants will learn game fundamentals, stick handling, ball control, and passing and shooting skills. Whether this is your first time picking up a stick or you're a return player, you will come away with many valuable new skills to bring back to your team. Our staff have played field hockey at the Intercollegiate Division I, II, and III levels as well as the international level. They are skilled, fun, and energetic to work with.

412556A - Advanced Field Hockey Skills & Strategies Camp June 26th-30th at Hall High School. from 9am to 12pm

Coach Cathy Callahan and staff will lead this fun camp that builds upon prior field hockey skills taught at field hockey fundamentals camp and in the youth league. This camp is for players who are looking to advance their stick work, dribbling, passing, shooting, and defensive skills. We will use advanced team concepts, passing combinations and mini games to further enhance players' understanding of the game.
This camp recommends that you have played one year in the youth league and have attended the field hockey fundamentals camp.
Required equipment: field hockey stick, shin guards, mouth guard, snack and water bottle.
Instructors: Cathy Callahan & camp staff.

 

412555A - Field Hockey Fundamentals. July 24th- 28th from 5 to 7pm at Conard. 

Come have fun with field hockey! Coach Cathy Callahan and staff will lead this fun camp that will focus on learning and developing key field hockey skills. These include, but are not limited to, stick work, dribbling, passing, basic defense, shooting and receiving. Team concepts will be introduced, including passing combinations and mini games. Fun practice techniques such as obstacle courses, exciting games and friendly competitions will be used. Players will be grouped according to age and skill level. All levels of players are welcome and beginners will find this camp a great first step into field hockey. Required equipment: field hockey stick*, shin guards, mouth guard, eye protection and water bottle. *Field hockey sticks for beginners are available to borrow.

 

Camp KO Field Hockey 2023

July 10th-14th or August 7th-11th

Players of all skill levels will benefit from the in-depth instruction and review of field hockey fundamentals through a wide variety of skill and drill sessions, competitive play, and, of course, fun games. On KO’s beautiful artificial turf, players will be challenged as they learn new skills and perfect old ones related to stick work and passing. Each stroke will be broken down for maximum development: various hits, push, flick, and aerials. We will also focus on optimal offensive and defensive positioning, as well as the transition game. Players will also practice ideal timing and use of dodges and pulls in various game-like scenarios.

WEHA Mannheim Field Hockey Annual Clinic 2023

July 31 to August 4, 2023 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm 

This is for rising freshman and above in the fall of 2023.

This annual clinic is its 11th year and includes collegiate coaches and players as well as club coaches from the prestigious Mannheim Hockey Club in Germany. You can pre-register for the clinic by clicking the link below. There is no payment due at this time. The clinic sells out annually. This is a good opportunity to guarantee your spot for the clinic.  The cost is $325 and payment is due March 15, 2023.

Ethel Walker Field Hockey Wildcat Camp

The Ethel Walker School Wildcat Field Hockey Camp is designed to develop field hockey athletes by teaching innovative stick work skills, shooting techniques, defensive strategies, and team tactics. Our priority is to establish the best base for each athlete to enhance their field hockey game.

National Girls & Women in Sports Day at USJ

Saturday, February 11th 10:30am-12:30pm The Blue Jays are excited to open their doors to girls ages 7-12 for a free clinic where participants will get introduced to each sport that the university participates in by USJ coaches and student-athletes. AGH Club Field Hockey - Winter 2022/2023 Season at KO

December 6 - February 23 from 6:30-8:00 pm (not during Winter Break) and weekend tournaments

AGH Club Field Hockey will be coming to Kingswood Oxford this winter. AGH Field Hockey Club, based out of Greenwich, has two highly-ranked teams in the Team USA National Club Rankings. Its U16 team is currently #1 in the nation, and its U14 is currently ranked #2. Chapin Yates (Kingswood Oxford) and Leon Kerr (Wilton High School) will coach players in developing their stick skills, strategic passing and field hockey IQ using fast paced hardcourt principles. This winter series is open to all U12-U19 players interested in perfecting their skills in the off season through practices and tournaments.

HARTFORD HAVOC FIELD HOCKEY CLUB- OLYMPIC CLINIC 

June 4 and June 5

Hartford Havoc Field Hockey Club is a newly formed club serving Hartford County.  We are excited to bring to your athletes our OLYMPIC FIELD HOCKEY CLINIC.  This clinic will be for athletes in Grades 6-12.  It will be coached by three former Olympians and current Division I coaches (Temple, Yale, UNC) as well as a three time All American goalkeeper from Duke University.  Each session is limited to 50 athletes to ensure that there is a low camper/coach ration and that every athlete gets the attention they deserve.  The clinic will run over two days and host four sessions at All Access Sports, locatted at 75 Neal Ct, Plainville, CT.  Please see the website for additional details including access to registration.

NWC Field Hockey 2022 

June 20 - 23 -- 9:00 am to 12:00 pm -- At Northwest Catholic School

Open to students entering grades 4-9.

Join Northwest Catholics Varsity Field Hockey Coach Nikki Blake and her team for an all skills field hockey clinic. Coach Blake believes in a “no judgement zone” once you step onto the field. We welcome everyone and anyone to play and learn in an atmosphere where we all come together, to play a sport that we love.  At NWC’s clinic you will learn new skills, challenging tricks, play in daily scrimmages and get conditioned for the upcoming season. Players will walk away improving their skills through a variety of drills in individual and small group settings. You will also work on team building exercises where you will learn how to be a teammate without judgement along with leadership skills that will serve them well beyond the playing field. Players will need to bring a mask, stick, mouth guards, shin guards, goggles water bottle and a snack. COVID-19 Safety Rules: Coaches and players will be required to wear a mask.

This session, which is for players of all skill levels, will emphasize field hockey fundamentals through skill and drill sessions, competitive play, and, of course, fun games. On KO's beautiful artificial turf, players will be challenged as they learn new skills and perfect old ones related to stick work and passing.

This training camp is ideal for players (graduation years 2023-2026) that want to get ready for their field hockey season. The USJ field hockey staff will work with players to develop their skills and learn some new ones too!
